The Lore
LocQuest was founded to push back against the degradation of the game localization industry, building the kind of studio we wanted to see in the credits. One that treats people like human beings rather than an overcrowded inventory, puts quality before numbers, and serves developers, publishers, and most importantly the players.
To craft this vision, we assembled a team of ace game localizers everywhere from AAA to indie, Argentina to Indonesia, and arena shooters to idle games who believe that players deserve better than lifeless, slopified translations. Our team cares about the details that machines can’t: voice, humor, emotion, worldbuilding, and that sweet, sweet cultural nuance.
Our commitment is simple: no machine translation, no AI, and no exploitation. With support for more than 30 languages and expertise across both physical and video games, we’re ready to put your game into the hands of new players around the world.

Our Skill Tree
In an industry increasingly focused on speed, volume, and profit at any cost, we choose a different path. Our localization workflows are our biggest achievement. Our time is spent on quality, context, and meeting the specific needs of each game for a great time for the players, no matter the language.
CONSULTING
Every project kicks off with a round of consulting sessions. During these sessions, our teams familiarize themselves with your game, review all your existing materials, and design a bespoke localization workflow. For physical games, we also assess component design, text expansion risks, and multilingual layout considerations. Flawless.
TRANSLATION
Okay, we’ll say it: nothing gets lost in translation with us. (Unlocked “Cliché” achievement!) But it’s true: our experts preserve all the tone, humor, and intent of the original, even when there’s specific cultural aspects at play. Depending on your project’s size and scope (and launch date) we’ll build the team and make sure no comma, variable, or button gets left unturned.
PROOFREADING
Everything, even the littlest menu item, deserves a second pair of eyes. That’s why every translation that goes through our doors is reviewed by a second specialist. They work closely with the translator and not only check for accuracy and consistency, they also discuss linguistic challenges and brainstorm creative choices. Our reviewers are looking at just about everything that could be improved before it’s implemented in-game.
LOCALIZATION QA
You don’t get much context from a spreadsheet. For LQA, our specialists review the localized content in the game itself. This is great for things like font compatibility, UI & menus, tutorials, and any other content that the players will actually find themselves. And man, are we thorough: testing, bug reporting & fixing, regression, and a final sign-off before it hits the market.
DESKTOP PUBLISHING
When you’re translating, things rarely stay the same size. For tabletop and other physical products, our DTP specialists work closely with our translation team to adapt cards, rulebooks, manuals, packaging, and even key art for your game. We’re not just picking some generic Simplified Chinese font here, and after your approval we do a final round of design and language checks so they’re 100% print-ready by the time you get them back.
